Longtime reader, first time member
This is my third post, but I thought I would say hi as a new member. Im Derek from S.E.Mass and I ride an '09 black denim Street Bob. She is my first bike and I bought her new at Cape Cod Harley in May of 09. Didnt have the money to do any mods the first season, just learned how to ride. Im still learning, but winter 09-10 I was able to make her "my bike". I found an awesome indie bike shop and with their help I have installed 883 iron bars to replace the stock baby apes, which I was never really a fan of. I also had python staggered duals, HD forward controls, Ness mirrors and levers, HD grips and pegs and a VH fuel pak put on during that round of mods. Personally I have added a 2up HD seat and passenger pegs, stage one kit with new a/c cover and new wrinkled black derby cover. Rode the stock dunny's off her and now I roll on Metzlers which Im very happy with. Also swapped stock plugs and wires for SE plugs and 10mm wires(orange). I am a huge fan of this site and rave about it to all harley and non-harley riders I talk to. There is limitless good info on here and I want to thank all the "ole timers" that put in their 2 cents. You've given me the push to buy my service manual and start wrenching on my scoot myself. Still leaving the big jobs to the pros, but standard PM is all mine. I have a lil over 13k on her sofar and cant wait for the weather to break. I have no problem going for a good rip so anyone in this area that wants to hook up for a ride, shoot me a line.
