No doubt. I am amazed by how much knowledge there is in here and how responsive members are to help. I'm glad I'm part of the tribe.
Partially have my father in-law to thank, as he promised he wouldn't talk to me if I ever bought a jap bike and that his daughter would not ride on one. No sportsters allowed either.
Welcome to the forum from Arizona. I can't speak for anyone else on why they greet new members, but I like to meet new people with common interests, and feel it is a nice thing to be acknowledged when you first sign in. There are always allot of questions, and if I think I can help someone, I will inject my 2 cents. There are always many opinions, but I personally value everyone's input when I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons of my decisions.
As far as post count, I lurked on the forum for 5 years before I ever signed in. If I was interested in a count, I would have signed in years ago and would be in the thousands by now. To each their own.
I admit I'm a post *****, try to welcome almost everybody, but I will also answer questions if I have a valid answer (have experience or know about situation), so welcome and if I can ever be of service, I will.
