Welcome from Junction City! I too hate this rain more every year. Been looking at real estate in Arizona. Why does it have to be a 2010?
On the Harley web site the difference in 2010 and 11 is about $1000. I'm 60 and looking foward to retirement. Would like to own one last bike, but I cannot eat into my retirement money, so I'm on a limited budget. Harley is the only bike that really seems to hold it's value, so I hope I can get at least most of my money back when I sell, not that I have any plans to stop riding any time soon.
One thing I don't like about summer riding is the heat. Oregon usually doesn't have a ton of heat, but with gear on it can get too warm for me, and I never ride without at least minimum gear. I may buy a smaller helmet and I did find a riding jacket with vents which helps. I do not like riding in the rain, but if it is dry I ride a lot in the winter. Might even get some rain gear and ride more in the winter.
Always interesting riding in snow! My daughter says I'm a big woos! Don't like the heat, or the rain...she is 29! When I was 29 I rode 240 miles on a Honda 350 in 40-degree weather and on and off rain! Also rode 150 miles with my brother in-law, got a late start and got dark and started pouring down rain. I only had sunglass! Interesting and uncomfortable trips! Wasn't fun...probably kill me now at 60! I admit it; I'm a fair weather motorcycle rider. Love to ride, but it is the most fun on a 70 degree sunny spring time afternoon. OK, I'm going to the Harley shop tonight!
