Hello everybody! I will start off by saying I really like the format of this site, and the (mostly) helpful nature of replies and co-operation I have seen thus far on the site. I have been reading posts for a couple months but just decided to join recently. I really like the feeling that if I have a question about my bike (or any other topic for that matter) I will likely get a helpful reply and some insight from the many knowledgeable members of this forum.
So enough about you...more about me...
I hail from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and at the time of this writing I have never driven a motorcycle. Luckily, my limited experience did not stop me from buying a 2011 V-Rod Muscle a couple weeks ago (I won't get it until June because apparently there is a shortage in my area...). I got my learner's permit (written test) this week, and I'm doing a weekend safety course and road training next week. Exciting times! Realizing the V-Rod is a love/hate thing for many members on the site I'm sure I have opened myself to some criticism, (especially in light of my inexperience) but hey, different opinions make the world go 'round! That said, any advice or words of wisdom would be helpful!
A fellow Canuck!! I too just made my first Harley purchase just this morning. So we are both new to the Harley family. One word of advice I do have for you, BE CAREFUL!! Those V-Rods are fast machines. Good luck with your new bike.
Welcome to the forum, I too am in toronto, but have been riding for a few years. I ride a Rocker. And I love it. The V-Rods are nice machines, what color did you choose?
