HI!
I do not currently own a Harley Davidson. I am however in the process over the next 6 months of buying one. I am planning on purchasing an Ultra Classic Eletra Glide. I have been riding motorcycles for most of my life. According to my Dad my first ride I was 3 years old sitting between him and mom putting around the block. I do not remember a time in my life where I did not drive motorcycles. I've been playing on dirt bikes since I was about 8 and riding street bikes at 15. I turn 30 this year and I have decided it’s time to graduate. I currently have two sport bikes. Yes I said sport bikes. I just sold my 2005 Road Star 1700. I've always wanted a Harley my dad has always had one. I have a need for a full out touring bike so I just decided it’s time to get both. I have a zillion questions, mostly about touring. My dad and I are planning a coast to coast trip for spring 2012. I have done several 3-400 mile day trips on my old cruisers but I want to start doing serious touring. I think I am also going to eventually get something like a fat boy for tearing up the city streets and every day riding. The biggest thing I miss about my Road Star is running it through the gears. My street sport bike will do 105 in first gear, and I usually only use 1st , 2nd and 3rd gear around town! I am yes a motorcycle junkie. I would rather ride than drive my cage any day of the week.
