I haven't got me a Harley just yet, but I am going to get um one or so in the next 6 months, and I'm looking for some opinions I guess.
I really like the FLHX (street glide), so I'm thinking of getting me one of them, and maybe a VRSCDX for poking around town. If you own one or both, what do you think of em? I have ridden my old man's Heritage Softail, and did so for about a year, and thought it was pretty good (only the old 80 inch evo motor).
My problem is, there's just too many Harleys I like. I don't mind the FXSTB, FLSTSC, or the fatboy, but my 2nd bike I think will be the DX.
I've ridden since I was about 8, have had most of my adult years on street bikes, my last being a GSXR1000K5, but had an accident at work and can't ride the cramped position no more.
Welcome to the HDForums from Arizona. Since your not in that big a hurry to get one I would rent the ones you like and go from there to decide . Good luck .
Welcome to HDF from Longview, TX!!! Like Millzog said, try renting some to get a feel for what feels more comfortable and suitable for you. You are right....so many to choose from.

Mmmm. Good ideas in theory fellas, but we don't really have rental Harleys where I live, so that's out of the question.
We do have a ride day here sometime in November tho I think, so hopefully they'll have those models for me to have a bit of a pedal on.
<Sigh>
Such is the burden of living in the gateway to the whitsundays I guess. Thanks men, hopefully it won't be long and I'll be one of the proud.
