Thumbs up Need advise

At present i ride a softail deluxe. I have only ridden 7 yrs. Considering purchasing a street glide. Am only 5'3", 130 lbs. Just wondering if anyone about my size rides a bike similar to a street glide. Last summer my husband & i put 17,000 miles on our bikes, so must say i was impressed with the deluxe. Big question, can i handle a bike that size or should i stick to the deluxe.

You can handle the bike, but for your size you might want to always wear shoes with a thick heel, also change the seat and look into lowering the bike. Welcome to the forum from Florida.

The SG sits lower than my last King or Ultra. Make sure you get a test ride to see if it works. Welcome to the Forum from Indy!

Welcome aboard from New York. I'd recommend going for a test ride.

Thks all, for advise on switching from deluxe to street glide. I would change the seat guaranteed, but not sure about lowering it, as I already rub the floor boards when riding the deluxe. Yes it would be sweet if I could test ride one.
I'm up in Canada in northern Ontario, so it's not warm enough to ride. I'm getting antsy!! Happy Easter everyone.

Hi Linda, I'm 5' 3" and 135 lbs almost a senior citizen and riding a Electric Glide Ultra Limited so yes you can ride a Street Glide. I do have a lower seat on the bike and wear boots with a thicker sole.
