I'm finally going to get out of the woods to ride! I love the site, tons of information. Thanks in advance for the help I'm sure I will be asking for!
Wish us luck. If I could figure out how I would post a picture of my bike.
Our sales dept.had taken a 92 Harley Tour Glide on trade for a new truck. Never having ridden a Harley I took it for a spin; 30 minutes later I put my Nomad up for sale on Craigs list and it was sold in 2 hours. That same week I bought the Tour Glide.
Someone hadn't taken very good care of it for the last 18 years, the paint is chipped and scratched all over, most of the fasteners are rusted from being in the weather, but she runs and rides really nice, with only 11000 miles. The first thing my wife said when she saw it was"that thing is ugly, I can't believe you traded your pretty motorcycle for that!' I didn't try to explain it, not really sure myself, but that "ugly thing' rides better than any of the Hondas, Yamahas, Kawasakis or BSAs I owned and ridden during the last 37 years.
