Hey everyone, I do not currently have a Harley or any bike for that matter. I joined up so I could learn a bit about the HD's as my wife and I are planning on picking up a new one somewhere around August.
I have been riding motorcycles since I was 14, although they have always been Sportbikes; my last was an '02 R1. I have a daughter now and want to slow it down a bit and still enjoy a bike, so my wife agreed to a Harley. Any tips or suggestions you guys have are certainly welcome.
We went to our local Harley dealer and the two bikes I found interesting were the Super Glide and the Wide Glide. Admittedly I will have to overcome the change of moving from sport bikes to the cruisers, they are a good deal heavier and the riding style is very different. The Super and Wide felt the most comfortable to me but I will definitely be outside my comfort zone for awhile.
