Name is Dan, and I just bought a 2005 FXD. I am 25 yrs old, and was always into motorcycles, and Harleys for the most part. I bought my bike as a graduation present to myself since I went back to school while working full time to get my degree, my wife hated the idea at first, but it has grown on her and my 22 month old son loves it!
This is my first bike, and I love it so much. Drive it to work every day, and enjoy every minute on it. Have been on a few rides too, now I am looking into customizing it some more and these forums have been a great tool so far.
Will post some pics when I get a camera that isn't broken (my son has managed to break 3 in the past year).
