I live in Southeastern Colorado, started ridding 45 years ago on a friends 1966 Triumph Bonneville. Been hooked ever since and only missed a few years ridding in those 45 years, US Army 66-69, then three years in the late seventies thanks to a divorce. Lost my **** in that!
Then in June of '09 was in an accident, an old lady ran a red light and I T-boned her and re-injured and old neck injury. I have three ruptured discs in my neck, gives me pain in my arms/shoulders and neck most of the time. The pain killers help but then I'm stupid most of the time and try to avoid them and just live with the pain. Sold my Road King this past July but not giving up; I'll add--------heart by-pass in '93: five grafts, plus five heart attacks, three stents and an ICD/Pacemaker. I'm still here, maybe a tough SOB or just lucky? Maybe it's fast motorcycles and women? LOL
All that has not stopped me for enjoying life and life on two wheels.
Seen some real good comments on here and some....well not so good.
Rides:
Scarlet-'95 Road King, reworked with 80 hp; RIP, the guy I sold her to totaled her out! Loved that bike!
Black Betty-'99 FLH Standard
Baby-'86 Heritage, rode this bike for 12 years, a great bike!
'85 FXR- never named this one-didn't like it after I bought, traded for '86 Heritage
Silver Wings-'78 1/2 Low Rider
'78 Gold Wing
'76 Honda 125 dirt bike, walked on me a few times
'72 Honda 500 Four
Rode some friends bikes along the way to see how they rode, H-D is still my choice!
Looking now at the 48, light but fast and great looks and I'm hoping my arms/shoulders won't kill me too much?
