I would like to introduce myself; I am a 62 year old sports bike rider and am looking seriously at purchasing a Harley for the first time. I'm not totally out of my speed freak stage but would like something a bit more suited for 2 up riding. I have kind of narrowed it down to a road king or a softtail classic. It would be cool to be able to carry rain gear. stc. without a backpack but I'm not sure I'm ready for the bulk of an Ultra, having never ridden anything much over 400# in the last 40 years. Opinions would be welcome and again howdy to all.
I'm a dyna freak, love my wide glide. softtails are to low. baggers are bulky. Go to the dealier and test drive everything they will let you. also older ones if you can. then go to the next dealier and test ride some more. welcome from washington state

After riding a Softail for a few years, I decided to step up and got myself a touring model (2009 Electra Glide).
Like jackstrr said, go to the dealer, find out when is the next demo-ride, and try every model you can. That's the best way to find out which model fits your needs and what's comfortable for you.
