Hi whilst I have the time over the festive period I'm spending time working on the bike.
1st problem I seem to have come across is a 1988 XLH1200 oil pressure light on constantly, there is good return to the tank the previous owner purchased a oil pressure gauge for a visible check, but didn't get round to fitting it.
I've pulled it out of the box the line is solid and for the life of me I can't figure out how it fits.
I've checked the part number and it is correct for model and year plus the pics on the web confirm I have all the parts required. The part Number for ref is 40 9991 on the hog parts web site.
Can any body advise as you will see there is no way it's going to replace the switch without additional parts.
Anybody who knows or even with one I appreciate your help, this is a major issue as you can expect, or could turn into one.
Ps I've tried to get the original idiot light to work I've also replaced the switch.
