Thanks everybody for the support and the warm welcome.
The Military Car Sales told me today that they don't announce colors and model changes for 2013 bikes till July. (which is what my build order will be for). They told me that I can put my order in and if they change the offered paint colors, price, or model specs that I can cancel my order or chose a different color/bike. Makes me a little worried because the bike I want Harley has changed most of the paint options offered year to year. How do they base color options? Is it based off of how many units they sell of that color? I might end up coming back and trying to find a 2012 at the dealership in the color I want. I'd lose out on the discounts offered over here though.

Figured I'd post this here since it's a newb question and I didn't really see anywhere else to put it. Hopefully I get some feedback.

These are mainly questions for NC riders.

Just curious why North Carolina doesn't honor the BRC offered by the Military as a substitute to the riding test given at the DMV? I read on the NCDOT website that only courses offered at community colleges and such (the ones that charge) are valid as a substitute. Aren't they all taught by a certified instructor?

My other question is since I'll be buying my first bike in North Carolina and won't have my license yet can you purchase/tag/title with only a learners permit? or without any endorcement at all? I plan to take the BRC through the military before returning stateside. I'd rather not have to pay and wait for a slot to the BRC offered at the local community college when I get back. Even if that means I have to take the test at the DMV.

Another thing I don't understand is if North Carolina doesn't allow you to tag and title with a learners how are you suppose obtain an endorcement if you don't own a bike to take the test on? Other than taking the paid MSF course.
