Hey all. Glad to be part of a great community. So much to see and read about, I love it.
Well I started riding dirt bikes way back , then got into sport bikes for a while. Never was much of a speedster and always wanted a Harley, so this winter I bought a 2012 883 iron in black. I just like the way it looks. Pick it up on March 22. Can't wait for the first ride. I will be changing the exhaust and air in asap, and go for the 1200 kit shortly after. Also like the new skull and chain covers to add some style.
Not sure what exhaust system is legal in Quebec , but I like the look of the Vance and Hines short shots. Maybe Screaming Eagle if its legal. I've read some posts saying cops are cracking down more on sound , and others saying they don't bug Harley guys to much. I'm not looking for too much attention , but would love a loud rumble.
I've read a lot of comments on how the sportsters are ladies bikes and so on, but I just like the way it looks, and with the 1200 upgrade think it will be perfect for my short ride to work and quick evening rides . I would like to do some longer rides with the Mrs. in the next couple of years, and maybe a road king might have to keep the sporty company in the garage.
