Eff'n New Guy
The wife is great. I love her dearly. 8 plus years and never a problem. I had a heart scare a few weeks ago and when I thought I was croaking I thought back on all the things I never did that I wanted to. Like get a bike again. She was all for it and there is the problem.
She wants a GoldWind as it has a big cushy seat for her to ride with me.
I want the Harly Heritage Soft tail Classic! How doe we get this settled? Remenber I love her so no foul play!
Thanks
Judging by your second post, you may already have your mind made up. I am certainly in no place to give marital advice, but you asked about bikes...so I'll throw in my $.02.
You've been married 8 plus years, so you know as well as the next guy that marriage is a compromise, and you also know that when she's happy, well, your happy, and let's face it, we all want to be happy.
Perhaps you could compromise...I'm guessing that getting two bikes is out of the question...maybe buy a used older wing to ride with her and a Heritage for you...
If that is not workable, than I would recommend a tourer Harley...maybe a Road King or one of the Electra Glides or Ultra Glides...
Hope this helps, and let us know how it all comes out for you.
Merry Christmas!

I agree with Pilot... go for a Glide. Goldwings are just wanna-be Ultra Glides anyway!

Cheers!

I may be 50, but I want to start a new childhood here. You dont think she could be just as comfy on a lesser bulk Harley with a wife-catcher on it? Maybe there are some bigger seats than what I see on them now?
Softails just sorta call to me. I dont want to ride coast to coast, just maybe inside Florida. Or in the southeast.
Still, I suppose a Glide beats any other make of bike anyway!
