1980 Shovel
I am trying to get a mates old shovel back up and running. We just compression tested it and it came up trumps. 120psi front and rear cylinders. After fitting new clutch, S&S carby, Stater & rectifier and a few other bits we fired the old girl up and she sounded sweet. Only thing is we had it running for a good hour or so and after shutting her down we noticed oil seeping through the engine case at the front where both case halves join. Over a couple of days this oil was every where all over the floor. It would have easliy been a litre or more. Can anyone help with a sugestion of what is going on. Ive heard it could have something to do with the check valve ball in the oil pump?
