New to the forum, just wanted to come in and say "hello" to everyone. I have been riding my own bike for three (3) years but have always been around bikes since I was born.
My first bike was a Yamaha V-Star 650 Custom, for Valentines Day I bought myself a 1997 HD Dyna Lowrider.
The dyna lowrider sure is a different feel and a different ride - a little bit more top heavy when stopping or taking off. The turning is different also, how do I learn how to turn the more "chopper forks"???
I hope to get back to riding more, like my first year of riding solo...
Hello from a fellow East Tennesseean. I learned better control when I went ot a dresser with a high fairing and tour pak the drop my weight in the seat more when turning or at slow speed. You may also want to look at different bars to turn better. A lot depends on your size and arm length as to what will work for you. My girlfriend is short and swears by pullbacks. I'm closer to tall and like beach bars. Best of luck with the new bike.
