Hey all,
Been roaming around on here for awhile and figured I'd finally say hey.
I've actually got 2 sportsters as of Tuesday. One was my Father's 02 1200 that he bored out and covered in chrome and the other is in about 100 pieces ready to be put back together (it's an 86 883)
The 1200 is a dream and made me love harley's (i've always been a jap bike guy and I've had 4 crotch rockets). Anyway I found the 86 for cheap and have been wanting to build my own harley for quite some time so I convinced the wife to let me get it.
Now that it's home I've started the master plan (which of course will be changed as I find better/more expensive things to do
).
One question I have is I didn't get a carb with the bike so I need to find one for it. I don't have the money to throw down on a S&S carb at the moment so I've been looking for the stock carb for the 86 and have had 0 luck. You guys know where I can find a cheap carb for the 883?
I'll try and post pictures tonight or tomorrow when I get them.
