help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could u some help big time, i came off an 09 honda 750 to a 03 electra glide and since day one cant get comfortable, on my honda i had 14 inch apes so i fig it was bc i was use to them. so i went the cheap route first and went to a ten inch bar so i wouldnt have to replace the cables when that didnt work i went to a 14 ape with a ten pull back then when that failed i went to a c and c seat still no luck, im asking for any kind of help so im very frustrated bc i cant even ride without hurting, my next step it to go to a bar with less pull back right not the apes i got are wild chubby with 10 inch puul back thinking its the angle of the bars that screwing it all up, im 5'7 and i dont know if anyone else has had this prob but im open to any advise
Welcome to the Forum, exactly why arnt you comfortable, you don't say achey back, neck have you tried tilting the bars forward so there straight up or even leaning forward, or sloping different angles towards you ? You're better off posting this on the General forum a lot more response there.
thanks to everyone who has posted on this. its all in my neck and uper body its got my muscles to where they feel like i pulled something ive tried moving the bars every witch way the reason im thinking its the pull back is bc with the faring u can only push up on the bars so far, im very nolagable on alot of aspects of modifing motorcycles and im just frustrated bc where im at theres not alot of places that can anwser this problem they will just try to sell me more stuff so before i switch bars i wanted to c what everyone thought on here, does anyone think that since its a tourning frame higher isnt better like on a softtail?
How old are you ? I rode for years without a problem, then afew years ago after around 45 minutes of riding I get an ache which goes from my neck down across my left shoulder, I've gone from drag bars on a Nightrain to mini apes, which are better but the pains still there, there's quite a few older guys on here with the same problem, I'm 64 so if your in your 50s or older it may be age that's causing the problem with you, if it's the bike maybe you need to test ride another Harley model and change it.
