Check out my signature pic. Those are BR bars on my rocker. They are 14s if I rememeber correctly. I didn't bother with telling him anything about pull back when I ordered from him. i trusted his knowledge and advice with that. Just tell him how high you want them and which kind of bars. Let him do his thing from there on.
Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of photos of Rockers with apes in a couple of threads and in the softail picture thread. If you PM me with an email I could email a bunch of pix I've collected. I know they are popular but personally I am not a fan of apes on the Rocker. It is an edgy design that I think looks better with drag bars. I don't care much for the original bars and plan to change mine with either a z bar look or one of my own design.
Ya i have drag bars on it now but im a tall guy and i dont like being hunched over when i go for long rides ive heard apes are really comfortable
you are right and wont regret getting apes. im 6' 5" and have 16" wild 1 cubbys with 2" wild 1 stubby springer risers. the apes really opened up my stance on the bike. my big *** could never be comfortable with other bars, plus they look bad *** lol. before i got my bars i made templates with cardboard on the diff sizes, i had to know fo sho before buying. good luck and welcome
