I remember my first ride on a motorcycle some 40 years ago at a Learn to Ride event sponsored by a dealer at the Houston Astrodome parking lot. I rode for years offroad never touching pavement. I finally got a bike that was street legal (although considered an Enduro if that term is still used today) in college and commuted on that little 250 for a couple of years. Flash forward through years of various sportbikes, some more off roaders, several knee surgeries and I am where I am today, an owner of a 2009 Road King classic. I love the riding position and the fact that I can stay on this thing longer than 45 minutes without my knees seizing! I purchased from a dealer and had them change all the fluids and go to heavy fork oil since the front end was diving a bit more than my tastes allow. Still working on getting the rear pressure where I want it for a comfortable ride but it will come.
I'm sure I'll have some questions and look for some advice from some of you touring guys out there so thanks in advance.
