Decoding VIN numbers 1981 to present?

Has anyone seen or know where I can find a comprehensive list of the breakdown on HD VIN numbers? I'm going to school to be an HD tech and I'm looking for a complete list since 1981 when HD started using the 17 digit VIN numbers. I've found tons of information on the web but none are even close to complete. I do have a good start if anyone is interested in what I do have I would be glad to share it with them just give me a shout.

I've seen that list, but if I remember the HD owners manual has that info.

Deciding VIN's if anyone is interested

Since no one replied I figured I would put what I have out here in hopes that it will help someone else out. There are a few bikes missing like the Sporty 883 CR model and one other model I found that is not on this list. However if you want to know what the VIN actually means this will help you out.
