Buying from a Harley Dealer
883 Superlow, 2011 with 11,000 miles. (Has stage 1 intake? Custom pipes, and the front end thingy ma-jig, also an extended seat).
Bike is $7,500 and downpayment of $1,500. Interest rate of 7.99% and payments of $168. (Plan on paying it off much sooner- within 2 years)
They are offering a warranty for $650ish for one year but I am considering getting at least the 2 year.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated - as I want to make sure I am making a good move. Is this bike a good deal? Should I get a warranty? If so, how long?
You'll probably get better answers from the more experienced oowners in the Sportster forum here at the board. That said, the first thing I recommend is a good test ride on the bike you are considering to make sure you feel relatively comfortable on it - the dealer may have some demo seats you can try if you feel cramped or stretched - and get a feel for how it runs, rides and handles.
Price seems reasonable, but 7.99% seems a might high. Shop around & see if you can get a better rate.
