I am interested in the following combination and would appreciate suggestions on the best model for the purpose:
1. A slab-worthy motorcycle/sidecar combination (capable of highway speeds).
2. Fuel injection.
3. Reverse.
4. All three wheels interchangeable (plus an interchangeable spare).
5. Leading link front end preferred.
I'm a machinist and currently teach aviation mechanics and previously designed and built ...a similar machine (yamaha-based and w/out reverse) using Tony Foale's guidance and suggestions.
Where is the best place to start? I've been considering a 2001 Police bike, but am wide open to suggestions.
My plan would be to use an identical rear wheel on the front, sidecar, and spare. I'd just machine an axle and mount a caliper for the side car and have two brake pedals side by side for either single or dual actuation.
