New member here. Must confess not a Harley rider yet, BUT I wanted join the forum because a Harley is in the works this spring. I thought there could be no better place to gain some insight and understanding as to what it means to be a real Harley rider (even if technically I don't own one...YET!)
Also, need some advice/guidance as to which Harley to pursue. So far, the wife and I have narrowed it down to these: Fat Boy (of course, will need some accessories for riding two-up and maybe some bags), Heritage Softail Deluxe, and a Road King.
Currently riding a Vulcan 900, but will be buying one of the above soon. For starters, need some insight/advice on the best choice of the three.
Ditto!!! Test ride em all. Only you will know what really fits and any dealer who wants your business will be happy to provide an opportunity for you to find the right ride. Best of luck on the purchase.
I realize I'm prejudiced - but - coming off a Vulcan 900 and looking for 2 up cruising - go big or go home! Test ride a Road King - but beware - you'll end up buying one!
Welcome from Va. Definitely take them out for all out for a test ride. I was looking at a Fatboy when I before I bought my Heritage. I knew I'd be getting married soon, so went with the Heritage. Might even be worth taking the wife out on the test ride, after you get comfortable with it. If she buys in based on her comfort, mods may encounter less pushback.
