!Just wanted to introduce myself as I just joined the forum. I rode a lot of bikes back in the 80's and 90's but just got my first Harley about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I bought a 2007 Sportster Custom. I absolutely LOVE it.
When I was looking at getting a bike I was considering a dual sport Yamaha or something similar. I wanted something I could ride to and from work and something my teen aged boys could bash around in the dirt on weekends.
My wife said, "Get a Harley". She grew up on the back of her Dads Harley,(79 lowrider) and wanted to relive her miss spent youth,LOL. So I bought an 07 sportster. We both love it but the first time we rode two up she said get a bigger one! Then see told me we should keep the sporty and get a bigger one as well. Damn I love the wife. She has her priorities straight!
I know I bought a non kick start poser bike to some of Y'all. I'm ok with that, just a great jump into the lifestyle bike, I'll upgrade........when I can.
Honestly I'd like something more rigid, so I can feel it but I'm definately happy where I'm AT! For now...............
