Heya.
Been spying on here for some time but finally needed some answers so joined. My wife and I both ride. Me-98 FLHTCUI 95th Anniv. Her-99 FXDWG customized to old-school.
We are in our 50s now. We have been riding our Harleys together since '99 when we bought the bikes and as before that, a lot of dirt bikes and smaller street bikes for many years. As long as we have the strength to stand these puppies up, we'll keep on riding.
Likes:
* Doing the maintenance of both bikes ourselves as much as possible.
* Fresh air, plentiful sun, dry weather, mountain roads.
* Loud horns - Stebel Nautilus here...
* A nice cool evening ride each Sunday evening.
Dislikes:
* Mechanics who think their crap don't stink and who talk down to us. I'm in the customer service industry too and understand that talking with people is a HUGE part of the job.
* Freeway riding.
* Riding in large groups - one exception: Our annual Toys for Tots toy run.
* Foul weather of course - if we're out and we hit weather that's no big as we have gear for that, we just don't leave home if it's raining outside.
* The usual stuff everybody hates such as stoopit cage drivers.
