That's a wicked looking bass your building. How much does it weigh?

Clammy,
Is that a Gibson you're wailing on in your avatar? I'm a Les Paul man myself.
Good eye!! [sm=smiley20.gif]

Yeah, that's a 2001 Blackbird (Nikki Sixx T-Bird). I also have a Flying V and an Explorer (Gibbos, NOT Epis!)! I used to have a black Les Paul Custom, but I traded it for a handmade B.C. Rich Warlock bass, which is my main bass right now... until I get my Moser Custom Shop Arachnid Ultra bass. I'll be picking the new bass up in 2 weeks when I go to Anaheim for the NAMM show.

I love Gibbos!

Cheers!

Slade, good to see another Houston suburbite. I'm up in the Cypress area myself. One of these days we'll have to meet up and have a beer or two.
Sounds good.

Thanks!!! I'm not actually building it, though, MCS is.

I've asked about the weight, and Neal (Moser - The "M" in MCS) told me "it's a manly bass" [sm=smiley20.gif], so I figure it's got some heft to it. My Warlock bass weighs in at around 12 or 13 lbs, and I'm sure the Arachnid is around the same.

I can't WAIT to play her... she's been about 1.5 years in the making! But she's totally built to my specs from end to end! She'll be panited black with chrome (NOT silver) bevels! How do you like the bullethole inlays? Those were my idea!

Cheers!

The bullet holes are a nice touch. Pure evil! Had a Fender American P Bass that was sweet but sold it for more chrome for the Road King awhile back.
