I would like to say "THANKS" to all the members of the forum who gave me a welcoming shoutout! In 1996. I retired from the USAF. which is why I still live in SC. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania until joining the military in the late 70"s. I have to admit, I purchased my bike on a whim! I just walked in the dealer, looked at the bikes on the floor, looked at a catalog and told salesman I wanted the one shown in the catalog. The salesman suggested I should wait till the 2006 models come out in a couple of months, however, I went and had the HD dealer here in SC, find the specific model that I wanted. It was shipped in in from a HD dealer in Wisconsin. It turns out that 2005 was the last year for the Super Glide Sport. My bike is a 2005 FXDXI, Smokey Gold Pearl, Fuel Injected with 13 spoke black/aluminum cast wheels. I have to admit to being partial to a certain type of bike. When I ride a motorcycle, I want to feel like I am riding a motorcycle. I still love my Super Glide Sport, and find it hard not to ride it like I stole it! Thanks again to all.
