I live west of Wichita Falls for now . In the country. My job has me here now as for the most of us. Look forward to moving back east toward Bowie area in a few years. My wife is a die hard hd rider. The reason I got it instead of something else at first. It is just a torque engine not a lot of rpms, like my car and truck. For now I am just studying the forums so not to ask to many dumb questions , I believe I bought an engine that can be made to run and there are a lot of smart people on here that know how to do that. I am developing a plan now but that really depends on what the crank run out is . There are several guys at work that have hds and not one ever heard of the cranks problems or problems with the tensioner on early models before 07. I appreciate this forum Jim

Thanks. I must admit riding a hd is a hoot you meet some one you never knew on a bike and almost all ways a hand wave or what ever. I use to motor cross over around saint Joe a long time ago. That's about it. The hd was totally different and I started out double . Got the rider course at first, glad I did aso. Of course I knew nothing about the hd and what to expect. I guess I expected more than I got as far as raw power. Its seemed a little weak and I was short shifting it also. I have since stopped being dumb on that. No tack no clue. Thanks to a forum and very smart people here including vendor's I have learned better. Jim
