i agree with most of the replys you have gotten. as far as the bike goes, police bikes are nice and will be worth more in the years to come. if it were mine, i'd try to keep it looking like a police bike. if you're gonna customize remember this... the guys who rode them didn't own them. they may have not been real careful with the paint, took them for maintainence like they should have etc. and your larger cities, have guys assigned to their road division who only work with that bike. all depends on the PD they come from and your dealer can tell you that. you can also contact that department and ask for them to get you in contact with one of the guys (or the guy) who rode it. it sounds like your from the ohio area like me, so they probably sat during the winter. i am a police officer in the cleveland area. if i can give you anymore let me know... road kings rule!!! also as far as maintainence goes... alot of PDs have their own maintainence crew to keep costs down. ask if it was harley maintained and let's see the documentation!!!
