Hey,So just found this site and decided to join.LONG time rider.Bought my first Harley in 93,while getting divorced from first wife.1974 bastard shift iron head sportster,rebuilt in dinning room.I think everybody should have to work on there first one to see the true workings of a Harley.Next bike was an 86 FXR,was stolen from in front of a bar in Spfld ,Il. Bought a 86 FXD stripped it down and had a great bike.Got a wild hair up my *** and bought 95 Th anv Fatboy without ever riding a soft tail.Big change from a swing arm bike....hated it.Sold it 3 months later bought a 90 883 and built a Kenny Boyce wide tire FX???.Love it frigging rocket!! Had some back issues,surgery...more surgery,so bought a 05 Ultra Standard. Had bad luck with that bike,went down twice so sold it and bought a brand new 08 Ultra Classic.Love it.Had another back surgery,so only have about 40,000 on it.Have to go to a trike.Looking to convert my 08 or buy a wrecked 09 or newer as they sit 2 inches lower.Found that was a huge change. So if anybody has any exp on trike convertions PLEASE DROP ME A LINE and let me know what you think on DIY or pay a shop to do it.
