Looking at buying a real cruiser sometime in the next year, got interested again in HD after seeing the changes with the upcoming Rushmore engines. In particular I like the featuring of ABS throughout the line up. Coming from BMW, ABS brakes are one feature I loathe to give up.
Have my eyes on either a Road King or Street Glide. Going to take a loot at the new Indians as well, but that HD sound and history are hard to pass up. Have a few friends who ride HD who have never had a bad word to say about their bikes.
Little about myself, been riding since 82, various Japanese bikes, my first being an old Suzuki 380GT 2 stroke 3 cylinder. Moved through various Yamaha bikes, Maxim, Seca Turbo, and FZ. Moved in BMWs with a R1100RT in 97. Been with the brand ever since, currently have both a 2000 R1200C, BMW's attempt at a cruiser, and my main ride, an 09 K1300GT.
Probably will keep the GT, the C is going to be sold soon so as to free up garage space. With regards to the Road King or Street Glide, how are they for 1k rides, or just general whole day riding? Figure if I do the SG I would get the lowers but time will tell.
