Welcome to the form from Shamokin/Coal Township, Pa. Since it doesn't sound like you have bought a bike yet I will offer some advice. Find yourself a competent mechanic, either a MoCo Harley Dealer, or a quality independent mechanic. Then work your way back to the bike, either used on craigslist, or new at a dealer. The models you are considering are solid platforms, and a good place to start for personalization. You have picked a great time of year to make a good deal on used bikes(aka garage queens).
Folks are from some beautiful places I see (and a few local folks!!!). The more I see the diversity, the more I hope to explore some of them.

Sagido, no I haven't bought just yet. There are five H-D dealers in my immediate area and I've hit four of them (not the one in NJ). Brian's H-D is the closest to me and there is an Indy mechanic even closer to home and one not far from my job, so I think I am well covered.
All I need now is the bike ...
