hello martin,
welcome to the forum from the motor city. i used to live for nearly 7 years in Augsburg and spent quite a bit of time in Munchen since it was only 15 min. by train or 25 by bike. i loved it there and found most Germans to be very friendly and accomodating. Once again eine herzliche wilkommen.
Welcome from Stafford, Virginia, US of A! I think you'll enoy HDF as do most of us. Here you'll find great folks, good information, riding and wrenching tips, and a bit of irreverence. It's also a way to spend time between rides.[sm=welcomesign.gif] Although I've never been to your country, I understand the Bavarian Alps make for beautiful rides. Enjoy your new scooter!
@Ol Biker: Yes, the Bavarian Alps are made vor beutiful rides. But a ride in the States is also an open dream of me. This should be changed...
@METALMANGLER76: The small Village were I live is called Schwabhausen. Its on the way betwen Augsburg and Munich if you don´t use the Highway.
@GhostBagger: The same prcedure as every Year. Since more than 20 Years I try to see the whole Oktoberfest but due to excessive "Mass" beer consumtion there is always a bit lost...
@Eugen: Dein Deutsch ist gut! Mein Englisch ist da viel schlechter...
@ChiefGator: Special respects to you in Iraq. Keep your tail up! I hope you will be back soon save in Florida. I´ve been there two times. I love to drive (had an rented Mustang Convertible) from St. Augustin down to the Keys. Very nice there. But also other places are in very good memory (Sanibel or Captiva Island or Apalachicola or ...).
@mistermooster: Yes, you are right. Bavaria is nice, but also Las Vegas is very very special. I´ve been there one time. Lost some bucks but enjoyed the City (got a big shot on Stratosphere Tower or had a freaky rollercoster ride in the New York New York). Las Vegas is for me one of the worlds freakiest and impressive Citys.
