Hey everyone. My name is Wes, from CT! I purchased a 2011 Yamaha Stryker (my first cruiser) back in 2011. Came from street bikes. I loved the bike, but always wanted an HD by the time I was 30. (And got tired of getting my ***** busted!)
Bought a 2008 CrossBones in March......totaled it 5 days later! Oops!
Just picked up a leftover 2013 Fat Boy Lo. Did a full stage 1, security, and forward controls. Going to be pricing out and ordering all the parts for apes this weekend. (Still iffy if I want 16s or 14s. I am 6"3'...16's felt good on my other buddies softtail, but I think I might lean towards 14s for long term handling.
Hope to poke around, learn some info, and make some new friends
Hey Wes!
I saw your bones at Yankee a few days after your oops.
They couldn't fix the damage? Did they just total out the bike?
Raido
My oops wasn't that bad! $7k in damage to the front end. Up close it didn't look that bad at all...lower forks were a little bent, rim and fender tweaked..... (1500 forks, 1200 springer, 600 fender, 600 rim, so that is $3900 right there)
But once they started ripping into it, the frame was tweaked, so it got totaled out

Luckily (well at the time) it had the boards and the bags, so it held the tins off the ground, so NO metal damage.....but since it got totaled, who cares!
