Newcomer from Russia
My name is Alex, i'm 28. I start to ride in 2005. Actually i try to ride couple times before, my dad has motorcycle with sidecar like on the picture (Izh Jupiter 5), but it was not serious expirience.

In 2005 i bought my own bike, it was Dnepr MT10-36, but i spend most time to get it to ride, it was impossible, it's was always something broke.

In 2006 i was in USA for 4 month and my friend rides me at his HD 2005 Softail Custom. It was great and after this I had a dream to buy a Harley-Davidson. I was impressed with the power that the V-Twin offers to rider. I was impressed with thoroughness and quality of parts. All this little HD emblems makes indelible impression.
In 2007 i bought my first motorcycle which allowed me to ride a long trips. It was Honda Steed with 400cm engine. It had no any power and comfort, but it was looks great for me.

I began to ride and gain expiriense. After 2 seasons I ride well and I had to change the bike to more comfortable one cause I like a long trips. In 2009 i bought a Honda PC800 1995.

It was great bike, very comfortable, very easy to ride. It has much space to get some staff with me and it has a f*ng trunk where i can put two fullface HELLmets
! Every time i ride to bikefests it was many guys that was impressed about a trunk on the motorcycle. That old f*g on the picture is not me )))

Despite all the positive sides of this bike it has two negative ones. First - I was spent so much time to disassembly all plastic parts when I need to get some maintanance. Second - spare parts was very expensive cause this bike ends to product in 1998. For example the mirror costs about $1000 in Russia and you need to wait it for a month. So I sell it in 2011.
I spend for about 6 month to find the compromise between comfort and old school style. In February of 2012 I bought a Yamaha XVZ1300 Royal Star Venture 2005 with tons of chrome and custom painting. I ride not so much on it cause i had much work, but i was very like this bike. Just look on it:
Anyway after one year i need to sold it.
After this I remember that I had a dream about HD and next bike should be HD. It is very expensive in Russia because customs pulls money for american vehicles. Especially if it has any tuning parts. We are hate them for it.
One month ago my friend calls me and said that it is a HD Dyna for sale just from USA. It was damaged in accident and needs to repair. It was no any tuning. Front fork, front wheel and rectifyer regulator was damaged (during repair revealed that oil filter mounting flange broken too). It is not hard to repair it so I bought this bike. You will be impressed but I bought it for about $8750, in USA it costs around $2500. Am I told you that our customs sick? When i finish to repair in it will costs around $12000 in stock so thats OK

Now I have new RR, new fork tubes and I need to find new wheel and repair the flange. It was one funny thing when I bring the bike in repair shop. The keys with a FOB was loosed in USA. I bought new keys but I had no idea what was the PIN for HDSSS. I spend for about 2 hours to pick up the PIN, everybody in the shop was surprised that I did it so I do not need to replace HDSSS with ECU both to start the engine. After I will finish the repair I need to see the dealer to program a new FOB.
See some pictures of my damaged bike below:
Thanks for your attention, I hope you are enjoy my story
