Default 1994 FXRP

I have a 1994 FXRP I baught in an Online Auction in Florida.

I paid $5,700 for the Bike. It took 6 weeks to get it deliverd to me on the west coast.

I found out that bike was out side for 4 months befor it went up for Auction.

Needless to say it ran like crap. Replaced the Carb (Mikuni HSR 42 ).

First time I started it up and O MY GOD!!!!!!!! This Bike Ran HARD AND FAST!!!

Still have problems though. Rusty Tank, Electrical,Ect.

Anyway Its All Good.

Steve...

Glad you were able to finally get that bike, but sorry to hear about your troubles. Sounds like you have little experience, so think of it as a chance to get to over that baby real well...personalizing it as you mod it...

Welcome to the bb, Steve. Looks like you accidentally got a good hobby along with the bike. Good luck getting that bike just the way you like it and hope you'll stick around.

It still sounds like a good deal to me. You can have the inside of the tank coated if its real bad, if not you can add some neutralizer and stablizer, available in kit form. Yamaha makes a good one.

Welcome to da board! Wsa this once an "actual" police bike, or just the police model? Might make a difference in what crops up in the future.

What are you planning on doing with the rusty tank? Hate to see some crud get into that new Mikuni and mess up a seat.
