2001 rims
1st Your heritage has a single front disk, the roadking has two mounting flanges, easy enough.. just put one rotor on the front wheel. however you'll have 5 ugly bolt hols on the wheel on the right side.
2nd Your heritage has 3/4" bearings front and rear the road king wheels will have 1" front bearings that will need to be changed; rear wheel is already 3/4" and should drop into place.
3rd The fork spacing is slightly different between touring models(FL's) and softails... With the rotor lined up in front, the wheel will be slightly off center, you can shim the caliper over and make new spacers, all of this isa litttle "hinky"...
I just had the dealer put 2002 cast Road King wheels on my 2006 FLST. As you point out the front wheel is now off centered in the forks, narrowly inside the front fender.
What will this translate to as far as tracking and ride response. I have only put ~200 miles on it so far.
