White wall dilema
I recently purchased a set of Shinko 777 WWW tires from a friend who originally bought them last year for a bike he ended up selling. They are new, never mounted. In fact they were still in the plastic wrap as he had received them. The white walls had that blue preservative on them which i removed with a little elbow grease and some dawn on a fine scotch bright pad. Problem is that there is this blotchy gray staining all around the walls. Ive tried Simple Green, foaming degreaser and mineral spirits to no avail. Ive never had WWW tires but i figured id better clean them up before i mount them. Anyone have some wisdom to share?

I got a really good deal on a new Roadking Classic years back, it came with wide white walls tires. I spray painted them black.
