Default Rear upgrade

I have a 2008 Street Glide and have purchased some stock rims and tires from a 2017 Street Glide. Didn't realize when I purchased these that my rear rim is 3" and the 17 is 5". Wanting to upgrade the rear end to accommodate the bigger rim and tire because my OCD will not let ke have mixed-matched rims. How easy of an upgrade is this? I'm not familiar with Harley parts yet due to this being my first Harley. If I bought a 2017 swingarm and fender, would everything else mount up to it or would I need new tail lights, brake caliper, bags, etc? Really wanting to do the work myself.

Cool

It has been done, but seems to be a major custom build, not for the feint hearted! If you have the skills, I suspect you wouldn't be asking. I'm not sure the rear sub-frame will mount the later fender, so that may need to change. There is a thread around where a member documented how he did it, but he has a comprehensive workshop and customising skills, it wasn't a simple bolt-up.
