Just purchased a 2004 FLHRCI. Needs a new front tire so I ordered a Dunlap D402. assuming rear tire was also a D402, Found out later that rear tire is actually the American Elite. Are these tires compatible or should i install American elite on front as well? Currently has D402 front tire.

I need help finding a new inner tube for my 09 Heritage.
The Rear Tire is Dunlop D402 MU85B16. Replacing with exact same tire.
Goggle lead me to a Dunlop Tube MT/MU90-16.
The 85 vs 90 has me confused. Appreciate any insights.

That will be fine to use..."85 vs 90" is the Aspect Ratio
Also "MT"=130mm and "MU"=140mm
Make sure your get correct valve stem orientation (side vs center)
Generally, going to the tire manufacturer's sites or google motorcycle tire sizing will give you plenty of info
In your particular case, I don't think Dunlop does a good job of publishing your specific size. But you need to know that a Rubber Tube is literally flexible in sizing and a MT90 and MU85 are close in size as far as a Tube is concerned.
For example, below is the listing from the Harley P&A book. Michelin does a better job of showing the sizes of tires their tubes will work with, whereas the Dunlop just lists the one size. Well, Tubes just don't fit one size tire. Your bike came with a dunlop tube in a MU85-16 from factory, which one do you think they used?
Call Dunlop to put your mind at ease

Thanks, multihdrdr.
Where does one get this level of education on tires, tubes?
Being around the silly things since the dawn of time, in my case! Also with living in the UK the MT, MU, etc series are not commonly used, so we have to learn our more normal (one of several) system of tyre sizing. For some of us further afield a Harley MT90B16 tyre translates as 130/90B16 and MU85B16 as 140/85B16. A beauty of the MU is that it has a slightly higher load rating than MT, making it more attractive to those of us who haul a Mrs and her luggage around. Darn it - what have I just said......
