Default Wheel Balancing

I have a 2002 FLSTF and decided to ditch the stock wheels and go with fat spoke 21F/18R. I took the brand new wheels and tires to an INDY and their tech who is supposedly a Harley tech told me neither wheel needed weights? Is this unheard of? The original wheels which I believe are aluminum had all kinds of weight on them. Is it possible for a wheel to not need balancing at all?

Just had a set of Commander 2's mounted on Blade Chrome wheels no weights either. I thought maybe because CVO rim better quality. Front and back indy says once in a while they get one that doesn't need but two has never happened. Took it for a ride after install and smooth as silk.

I guess I will find out. I haven't ridden it yet its been raining a lot here in Chicago lately. Not afraid of the rain I just don't want to test drive in the rain on new wheels and tires.

Thats what I ran on my Dyna for years. Works great and don’t have to have ugly stick on weights on the side of the wheels.

the theory on nitrogen in tires is reduction of heat which leads to tread squirm.
the tire run cooler and last way longer
now a latest rage but been around decades
