Michelin is rolling out a Commander III at Daytona this weekend. Supposed to have better durability. I have been happy with the II's. It would be nice to get some more miles per tire if the handling stays there.

Thanks for posting this. I was wondering what Michelin had done to improve the C-2. A friend suspects it's better grip in the rain (but I think he's just guessing).

It looks like they copied the Avon Chrome, a proven wet grip design

I installed three sets this week on customer's bikes, it will be a bit before I have any feedback but I asked them all to let me know their thoughts as they put miles on. Two of the guys ride A LOT so I hope to have some info in the next month or so as they get a few thousand miles on them. I will update with info I get back but it won't necessarily be quick!
Had a set mounted yesterday at my local Indie. Commander III Touring front and rear. Pretty cold out - 42 degrees but north wind - so I couldn’t get much time other than the ride home. They replaced a set of Dunlop E3’s from a few years back. Rear had a slow leak - around 15 pounds every 2 weeks. (Never found anything when I inspected and valve stem valve was replaced.)
Today I managed about 85 miles to check them out. Hard to tell yet but initially they feel a bit stickier and certainly have a rounder profile. I’m hoping for good mileage and performance as claimed.
If they would only make a White Wall, and I dont know what came stock on your ride, but the D402s that came on my FLDE are crap in the rain!!! looking for a replacement at 6k because they are downright dangerous on wet pavement!!!
