Hello Everyone! Want to know if anyone knows how much Harley charges to put new tires on my 2016 48 if I bring in the new tires from somewhere other than the Harley dealership. Thanks!
My dealer wont put tires on that you havent bought from them. They say its a 'liability issue'.
They charge me 1/2 labour when i bring in just the wheel. They put a new valve stem and balance too.

ours will so long as the sticker is still on the tire. Still charge a half hour labor though. Which is fine for me.
It's not that hard to mount and balance tires at home. It's not easy by any means, but the modest investment in equipment will be worth it if you ride a lot and kill tires quickly.
The going rate around here (Tulsa, OK) is $35-45 per wheel at an independent shop or place like Cycle Gear. This is you bringing in the wheel (taking it off the bike yourself), then you installing it after they mount and balance the tire. If you want the shop to do the labor of removing and installing the wheel, then it is whatever hourly rate they charge. As mentioned, lots of dealers, and a few independent shops, won't install tires they didn't sell.
If you haven't bought tires yet, but just want a different brand, then sometimes dealers will order whatever you want. You will pay more for the tire from the dealer vs ordering online, but may save on labor. One of the local dealers is doing free tire installation with purchase this month.
I buy my Harley tyres at my local Yamaha dealer and take my wheels in for them to fit - have a coffee while they do that. If necessary they order the tyres I want, it's just so easy! Ask around, especially if you have several bike shops reasonably close.
