Hello again. Was just reading in the manual about irregular handling and it says "Rear wheel out of alignment with frame and front wheel. I have a 2010 Electra Glide. Can you put the rear wheel on and have it misaligned? You've got the adjustment ramps on each side and it seems those would only allow one alignment to happen. It doesn't go into detail so what am I missing? Can the rear wheel be put on cockeyed?

The rear wheel might not be cockeyed but the engine, trans and swingarm can be misaligned.,,,,,,,,there are turnbuckles on top of the engine and in front.......they provide for engine alignment with the rear wheel/bike......you can see these items clearly.
They align the motor and swingarm to the rear wheel.
The process is in the FSM.
Mileage ?
Swingarm "isolaters" may require service
Check torque on swingarm pivot bolt
Spoke wheels ? Check for loose spokes
Funky tires ?
Bad front motor mount ?
Lots of possibilities
Another possibility is if you have a built bike, it can cause the rear wheel to come out of alignment at max torque conditions. There's an aftermarket rear-axle holder that's more secure.

24,000 miles. Stock 96. Brand new tires. I bought a set of chrome IMpeller wheels off ebay and wondering if maybe those wheels might be wacked somehow. Seller won't answer my question as to whether they check these wheels before they chrome them. They're someones used wheels this company rechromes then sells as "new". I assumed they would be true and didn't think to check them before having new tires mounted on them. No obvious damage and they have new bearings.
Gotta love it when someone doesn't read the very first sentence. What do you think I read that had me confused? Thanks for the input.
From what I've read on this forum, there have been a number of times where a manual (ie Clymer's) differs from the HD factory service manual. So, by just mentioning in a post the word "manual", one might think that you are reading from a non-factory manual which may have incorrect information. That's why many people specify FSM in their post.
