Stock dunlops are OK but the Michelins handle better and last longer. I ride alot, so that matters to me. I even have spare wheels to mount and balance ahead of time. My 2011 FLHP has almost 125,000 miles - i bought it with 2916 miles.

Why do you recommend the Commander II instead of the Commander III? I put the Commander III front and rear on my 2007 Ultra.

Commander III's had tread separation issues. Don't know if they're fixed - do some research.

So I decided to just go with new Dunlops again all around. I’m a bit surprised at how hard the old tires feel compared to the new. So doing the replacement I think was a wise decision, as there isn’t much bike support on the drive to Thunder Bay that is planned for next May.
