I'm building a 59 pan back to it's original look ,I have 2 basket cases ,a 61 FLH and the 59 FLH .Can someone help me with the front brake cable measurement? I had to be a little creative ,and now I'm having second thoughts.
I'd like to know measurements of the front brake cable tube that goes from the brake housing ,and runs up beside the left fork. This does not have a curve in it like in 1960. Its just a straight tube ,and has the brake cable adjustment bolt assembly going into the top of it ..Next how long should the outer brake cable housing be ? It goes from the adjusting bolt at the top of the tube ,to the hand brake lever..I asked a dealer and he said 43 inches ,mines about 14 inches.
Can someone help on this please ?
