I'm not a hard rider or a fast rider,I just want a tire with some longevity. My bike is an 07 softail custom, with a 17" wheel and a 200 tire.I have no options for the stock wheel, some say go with a 210 Metzler, then say that they are as bad as Dunlop!
All I want out of this freakin' thing is a harder Stock tie for the set-up I have, and I'm sure that there are a lot of Softail Custom owners out there that want the same.
Look at the different on rating on your tires. Then go shop around there tire out there like you may want. But driver speed and braking with road type are going wear your tires. I also like a hard rubber tire but they don't hold the road like stock can.

I've looked at the ratings, shopped for tires,I realize that speed and road surfaces effect tires and am not a fast rider.I just want a harder tire,5000 miles on a tire is ridiculous. This is just normal riding.Dunlop could do a lot better than that......If they wanted to.It's all about the bucks!
I use 3 to 5 tires a year. I have put threes on so far this year. I can wear a tire out in a week. If I like to I could put hard tire on the bike and crash just to save a dollar. It's your bike do what you are going to. Good Luck.
I've never had a problem with Dunlops. My last rear tire lasted 12k miles. I have 5k miles on the current one and it's hardley warn. The way I see it, folks will always complain about tires. You either love certain brands or you hate 'em.

Whoa, hold on here,I'm not looking for an argument ,or trying to crash and save a dollar. We obviously have different riding styles here and I only have one bike and it's a softail custom, read my original post,I'm trying to help us out here by trying to get Dunlop to come out with a way to make their tires to last a little longer, not to get anyone killed, this is for all of us,not just me.......and yes,I will do what I'm going to do,I'm just looking for some help from the rest of us riders in doing it.It's up to you if you want to.Thanks for your input.
